Ingredients
1 pound of bacon, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
2 bunches of collard greens, washed and chopped
1/2 cup of chicken broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
In a large pot over medium heat, cook the bacon until it is crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute.
Add the collard greens and stir to combine. Cook for 3 minutes.
Add the chicken broth, bacon, and salt and pepper to taste. Cover and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 30 minutes.
Serve warm. Enjoy!
