Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Add flour and mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a 16x21 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then spread over the buttered dough. Roll up the dough and cut into 12 rolls.
  6. Place rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Mix heavy cream and vanilla, then pour over the risen rolls. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
