Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chiles
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes or until the onion is softened.
- Add the ground beef and pork and cook for 7-10 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink.
- Add the tomatoes, beans, chiles, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
