Best-Ever Carne Asada Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup freshly-squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds flank steak or top sirloin steak

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the steak in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the steak.
  3. Cover the dish or seal the bag and place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
  4. When ready to cook, preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for 4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  6. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
