Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/2 carrot, diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Directions
- Cook the white rice according to package instructions.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook until the beef is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Add the carrot, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic, gochujang, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer the cooked beef and vegetables to a bowl. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, fry the egg sunny side up.
- To assemble the bibimbap, place 1 cup of cooked rice in each bowl and top with the beef and vegetables. Place the fried egg on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
