Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and coconut flakes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and water.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Using a pastry cutter or pizza cutter, cut the dough into 2-inch strips.
  7. Carefully wrap each strip around a wooden dowel or rolling pin and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Allow the rolls to cool before removing them from the dowels.
