Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 cups diced celery
1 cup diced onion
2 cups diced apples
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 cup chopped pecans
4 cups dry bread cubes
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add celery, onion and apples. Cook and stir until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
Season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Stir in chicken broth and parsley. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Mix in pecans and bread cubes. Spoon mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
