Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  2. Add the butter, sugar, salt, lemon juice, milk and cornstarch, and mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils.
  4. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool completely before serving.
