Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8-10 taco shells
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Shredded cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the onion and garlic powder and cook until the onions are soft, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cumin, chili powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Spoon the ground beef mixture into the taco shells, top with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
