  • 1 pound of bacon, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 1 pound of asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 pound of spaghetti


  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp.
  2. Add the garlic and onion to the skillet and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the white wine and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the asparagus, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
  8. Drain the spaghetti and add to the skillet with the bacon and asparagus.
  9. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.
  10. Serve hot.
