Ingredients
- 1 pound of bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of white wine
- 1 pound of asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup of chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 pound of spaghetti
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp.
- Add the garlic and onion to the skillet and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the white wine and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the asparagus, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
- Drain the spaghetti and add to the skillet with the bacon and asparagus.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
