Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound peeled and deveined shrimp, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1 package wonton wrappers (50 count)

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine pork, shrimp, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and scallions.
  2. Mix together until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. To assemble wontons, place 1 teaspoon of the pork and shrimp mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Dip your finger in water and moisten two edges of the wonton wrapper.
  5. Fold wrapper in half, pressing edges together to seal.
  6. To cook wontons, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  7. Carefully add wontons to boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes or until wontons float to the top.
  8. Remove cooked wontons from the pot with a slotted spoon and let drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  9. Serve wontons with your favorite dipping sauce.
