Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper (any color)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook and stir until the vegetables are softened, about 2 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the beef and vegetables and cook, stirring, until heated through, about 2 minutes.
