Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

Directions
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the cumin, turmeric, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, and cayenne and cook for 1 minute.
Add the apples, tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, and salt and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes.
Let cool, then transfer to jars or other containers and refrigerate.
