Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the butter, flour, and salt using a pastry blender. Add cold water and mix until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into a thin circle and place it in a 9-inch pie plate. Trim off any excess dough.
