Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon anise extract

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in anise extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda. Gradually stir into the butter mixture.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
