Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no pink remains. Drain off any extra fat, if desired, and set aside.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the potatoes and butter to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for an additional minute.
  6. Pour the beef broth into the skillet and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
