Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 pound ricotta cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the honey and ricotta cheese until blended. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the wheat flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and cardamom. Slowly blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let cool before serving.
