Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain fat and stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a 9x13-inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, the ground beef, and the cheese. Top with the remaining potatoes.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix together the onion, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and butter. Pour over the casserole.
  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
