Ingredients

  • 1 15oz can of chickpeas
  • 3 tablespoons of tahini
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas and transfer them to a food processor.
  2. Add the tahini, garlic, cumin, olive oil, lemon juice, and water to the food processor.
  3. Process the mixture for 1 minute, then scrape down the sides of the processor with a spoon.
  4. Process for another minute or two until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the hummus with vegetables, pita chips, or on sandwiches and enjoy!
