Ingredients
- 1 15oz can of chickpeas
- 3 tablespoons of tahini
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas and transfer them to a food processor.
- Add the tahini, garlic, cumin, olive oil, lemon juice, and water to the food processor.
- Process the mixture for 1 minute, then scrape down the sides of the processor with a spoon.
- Process for another minute or two until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the hummus with vegetables, pita chips, or on sandwiches and enjoy!
