Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, egg, raisins, and caramel sauce.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fill the prepared muffin cups with the batter. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing to cool completely.
