Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup flaxseed meal
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flaxseed meal, coconut oil, honey or agave nectar, almond butter, vanilla extract, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
  3. Stir in the walnuts or almonds and dark chocolate chips.
  4. Drop the dough by the tablespoonful onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Let cool before serving.
