Ingredients
- 1 (18.25-ounce) package white cake mix
- 1 (3-ounce) package key lime-flavored gelatin
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup key lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest
- 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, gelatin, sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, melted butter, key lime juice, and lime zest. Beat until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool completely before poking holes in the top. Pour the whipped topping over the top of the cooled cake and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
