Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a disc.
- Wrap the discs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
