Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 ½ cups hot brewed coffee

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the hot coffee into the batter and mix until combined. Add the chocolate chips and mix until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and semisweet chocolate chips until combined. Spread over the top of the cake and let cool before serving.
