Ingredients
- 1 loaf of Italian bread, cut into cubes
- 2 large tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup of fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup of red onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a large bowl, combine the tomatoes, basil, and onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Pour the dressing over the tomato mixture and toss to combine.
- Add the toasted bread cubes and toss again.
- Serve immediately.
