Made with ground turkey, fresh herbs, and Thai spices, these burgers are juicy, tender, and packed with unique and aromatic flavors. Served on a toasted bun with a zesty Thai-inspired sauce and topped with crisp lettuce and sliced cucumber, these burgers are perfect for a summer barbecue or weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Cucumber slices

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cilantro, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill. Set aside.
  5. To assemble the burgers, spread a dollop of the Thai-inspired sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a cooked burger patty, lettuce leaves, and cucumber slices. Place the top half of the bun over the filling.
  6. Serve the Thai-style turkey burgers with extra sauce on the side, if desired.
  7. Enjoy the flavorful and juicy Thai-style turkey burgers!
