Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the tequila, lime juice, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and honey. Whisk to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
- Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
- Remove from the heat and let cool before serving.
