Ingredients
1 pound potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and mash.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the milk, egg, and mashed potatoes. Cook and stir until heated through, about 5 minutes.
Spread the potato mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with cheese, bacon, and chives. Season with salt and pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
Serve hot.
