Ingredients

  • 1 pint of your favorite ice cream
  • 1 cup of tempura batter mix
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Toppings of your choice (honey, chocolate sauce, etc.)

Directions

  1. Scoop the ice cream into 8 balls and place on a baking sheet. Put the baking sheet in the freezer for at least two hours.
  2. Mix the tempura batter mix, flour, and cold water in a bowl until it forms a light and airy batter.
  3. Remove the ice cream balls from the freezer. Dip each one in the batter and make sure it's completely covered.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Carefully place the battered ice cream balls in the pan and fry for about two minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Remove the balls from the oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
