Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tapioca pearls
  • 1/2 cup white rice
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 3 cups of the milk to a boil.
  2. Add the tapioca pearls and rice to the boiling milk and stir.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the remaining 1 cup of milk, the sugar and the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
  5. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Remove the pudding from the heat and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
