Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp Szechuan sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 lb green beans, trimmed and halved
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, Szechuan sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add thinly sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add green beans and red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  7. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
