Ingredients
1 pound lean beef cubed steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cubed steak and garlic, and cook until the steak is browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
Add diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top of the steak and continue to cook until the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes.
Serve hot.
