In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add the edamame and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the edamame and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin and salt. Add the cooked edamame and mix until evenly coated.
Spread the edamame on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees F for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
