Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the beef over medium-high heat until it is no longer pink.
  2. Add the cabbage and cook until it is tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Pour the mixture into the skillet and bring to a boil.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup water until the cornstarch is dissolved.
  6. Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce is thickened.
  7. Serve over rice.
