Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 cup of warm water

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sunflower seeds, almond flour, and wheat flour. Stir to combine.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in 1 cup of warm water. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  4. Add the sea salt and knead the dough for 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise for 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a loaf pan with oil.
  7. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes. Form the dough into a loaf shape and place in the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let the bread cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
