Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and mushrooms until beef is browned.
- Stir in soup, sour cream, and cheese; season with salt and pepper.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is melted.
- This casserole can also be made with ground turkey or chicken.
- Garnish with chopped chives, parsley, or other herbs.
- This dish can be served with a side of steamed vegetables or a salad.
