Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Black decorating gel or frosting
- Candy eyes
Directions
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt, mix until well combined.
- Gradually add in flour and mix until dough comes together.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut out bat shapes using a cookie cutter.
