With minimal ingredients and simple steps, this recipe is a must-try for any buffalo chicken lover. Serve it over a bed of rice or with a side of crispy fries for a complete meal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced celery and onion, and cook until vegetables are tender.
  4. Add buffalo wing sauce and hot sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the buffalo sauce mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through and the sauce is slightly thickened.
  6. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over the top of the chicken. Cover the skillet and let it sit for a few minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  8. Serve the Buffalo Chicken Skillet over a bed of rice or with a side of crispy fries.
