This spruced-up Zatarain's jambalaya takes the classic Cajun dish to a whole new level with added vegetables, protein, and a burst of flavors. It's a perfect dish to serve at parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Zatarain's Jambalaya mix
  • 1 lb of smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Directions

  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat and add the sausage. Cook until browned.
  2. Add the onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened.
