Sarah's chicken lasagna is a comforting and hearty dish that is perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners. This recipe features tender chicken, creamy cheese sauce, and layers of lasagna noodles, all baked to perfection. It's a crowd-pleaser that will have everyone coming back for seconds!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 package lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish
  5. Layer lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, followed by a layer of the chicken and cheese mixture
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of marinara sauce on top
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the lasagna
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown
  10. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
