Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • ½ cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles for topping (optional)

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut out donut shapes. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
