Ingredients

  • 1 single-crust pie crust
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease one 9-inch pie plate with butter.
  2. Place the pie crust in the prepared pie plate. Flute the edges of the crust and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Stir in the pecan halves and pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.
