Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until blended.
  4. Mix in the vanilla and eggs until well blended.
  5. Stir in the flour mixture until just blended.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
