Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, softened butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking pan to form a crust.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the light brown sugar, honey, corn syrup, and unsalted butter. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well to coat the pecans evenly.
  7. Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  8. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the pecan filling is set and lightly golden.
  9. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool completely before cutting into squares or bars.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
