Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, water, and sugar together in a large bowl until a thick paste forms.
  2. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it sit in a warm place for 24 hours.
  3. After 24 hours, add 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of lukewarm water to the mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Cover the bowl again and let it sit in a warm place for another 24 hours.
  5. Repeat this process for the next 5-7 days, adding 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of lukewarm water to the mixture each day.
  6. After 5-7 days, your starter should be ready to use.
