Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cubed
- 1 cup sour cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add butter and use a pastry blender or two knives to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal.
- Stir in the sour cream until just combined.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until it just comes together. Do not overwork the dough.
- Pat or roll the dough out to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place biscuits onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter, honey, or your favorite jam.
