Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4-5 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.
- Stir in baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Spread half of this mixture into the bottom of a 9 inch pie dish.
- Spread apples over the batter.
- Sprinkle the flour over the apples.
- Mix together the brown sugar and walnuts, and sprinkle over the apples.
- Spread the remaining batter over the top.
- Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
