Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 12 cupcake tins with paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla, and beat until combined.
  4. Add the cream cheese and mix until just combined. Slowly add the flour mixture and mix until just combined. Add the milk and mix until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake tins and bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Spread the frosting over the cooled cupcakes.
