Ingredients

  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for cooking

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the mushrooms, onion, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into four patties, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil.
  4. Carefully place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve the burgers with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
