Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh sour cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cherries, vinegar, sugar, mustard, turmeric, ginger, cumin, garlic powder, coriander and cayenne pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  4. Transfer to a clean, airtight container and store in the refrigerator.
